INCOGNITO Exhibition

INCOGNITO is Jack & Jill’s 2017 public art project, featuring artwork by an eclectic range of talented Irish artists including Adrian+Shane.

This is an exhibition and sale of 1500 miniature pieces of artwork (postcard size) which will be displayed for sale in the Solomon Gallery in Dublin (beside the Westbury Hotel) from Friday 21st April to Tuesday 25th April.

Each piece will cost €50 but you won’t find out the name of the artist until you finalise the purchase of the piece. You might end up with something worth €10,000 or something that you love by a Sunday painter!

All funds raised from this campaign will help provide home nursing care for very sick babies nationwide.

64 Bits Exhibition

A selection of images by Adrian+Shane feature in the '64 Bits' exhibition at 'Here East' in London right now. The exhibition runs from March 30th - April 21st. Admission is free.

There was a lot of weird shit going on in the early days of the internet. Taking us back in time, 64 Bits is an interactive recreation of the early years of the web, which hopes to tell the stories of the forgotten artist engineers that shaped today’s digital culture. See a working version of the first search engine, Archie, created by Alan Emtage; the work of Susan Kare - who designed the first microsoft playing cards and browse the very first website made in 1991. The exhibition also includes an open-door digital media archiving service, where artists and designers can bring in obsolete media to migrate inaccessible historical artwork to a modern format.

An exhibition of live-streaming performances.

On the 2nd of March, MAFA Gallery becomes the venue for a new type of art exhibition format. The ‘show’ is performed by a group of seven Chelsea College MA Fine Art students and selected guest artists including Adrian+Shane.

The evening combines an interactive live streaming experience inviting the audience to share the performances digitally, many of which are enacted remotely.

The artists aim to destabilize the current repose of the traditional white gallery space by creating a new cyber reality whilst highlight the ubiquitous preoccupation with our mobile phones and digital devices.

September 19th - 22th at Filmbase, as part of Tiger Dublin Fringe 2016

Irish pop art duo invite the public to join them in collaborating on their latest collection:

Pop art duo, Adrian+Shane invite the public to join forces with them in collaborating on their latest project, ‘ZOO’, an art experiment for everyone using social media for inspiration. Running as part of Tiger Dublin Fringe 2016, ‘ZOO’ runs from 19th to 22nd September, at Dublin’s city centre art space, Filmbase.

Created as an immersive live experience, offering viewers a rare chance to watch the duo at work ­ either in person or via online streaming. ‘ZOO’ provides members of the public with a way of watchin g and working with Ireland’s leading pop artists, Adrian+Shane. Encouraged to bring along any belongings which the artists will in turn use as inspiration for their latest artwork ­ whether this be an old toy, items of clothing or novelty telephones, where these personal items may be used in photographic self portraits created in their own studio by the artists, which has been opened to the public for the first time.

From this Adrian+Shane will draw inspiration for their ‘Fringe’ themed ‘ZOO’ and create entire artworks which will go on sale immediately after they’re made. As Adrian+Shane say themselves, it’s ‘freshly baked art.’
Adrian+Shane have been creating art together for over 18 years. They specialise in pop art, with a variety of mediums, from paint, to collage, photos and video. They use their art to comment on religion, sexuality, politics and have exhibited around the world including Dublin, London, New York, Berlin, L.A., Barcelona, San Francisco.

The idea for the ZOO project came over lunch one day. The duo realised that thanks to social media outlets such as Facebook and Snapchat, these days everyone wants to be heard. The public wants to feel like their voice matters. With this in mind, the artists began to think of a way to include contributions from the public in their art.

Throughout the four day run, the artists studio will welcome a selection of invited guest visitors who will become the artists muse for a time.

From midday on 19th September, Adrian+Shane invite everyone to come down and join in their latest interactive art experiment, or follow its progress via social media; Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, Facebook, Youtube, etc.

Boundless - Water Tower Exhibition

Adrian+Shane are among the artists featured in an exciting exhibition which opens in Dublin city centre tonight (June 25th).
30 artists were each invited to customise a miniature water tower for the 'Boundless' exhibition which is the first of it's kind in Europe.
The exhibitions runs until July 4th.

'Demand The Impossible' - a new piece by Adrian+Shane is being showcased in New York as part of a group exhibition opening tonight (Friday April 25th 2014).

‘FOR THE LOVE OF NEW YORK’ features the work of over forty creatives from all around the world presenting artwork that was inspired by the mecca that is New York City. Encompassing many styles and genres of creativity, the works selected for this show display the diverse eclecticism that make up this great city. NUMB in Berlin

'NUMB' is the title of a new series of paintings by Adrian+Shane currently on show as part of an exhibition in Berlin, Germany. A History of Queer Street Art opens for its month long engagement at Physical Goods Gallery in the heart of Hollywood, CA on February 9th and will run through February 29th 2012. Originally curated and exhibited in San Francisco by SF based street artist Jeremy Novy, the exhibit is re-imagined and brought to Los Angeles by LA’s own Homo Riot.

A History of Queer Street Art, first presented in 2011 at the SOMArts Center in San Francisco, documents the work of queer and pro-queer street artists from around the world. Spanning more than two decades of work, the collection includes pieces by notable queer street artists as well as showcasing present day street activists.

At the heart of the History of Queer Street Art is a timeline of works collected by Novy which incorporates prints, stencils, stickers, photos, street pasters and even the gallery’s walls -- creating a “street art experience” from a queer perspective. The Los Angeles version of the exhibition, produced by Homo Riot, will also feature new works by well-known European street artists like Paul Le Chien, Adrian+Shane, as well as American mainstays like Prvtdncr and Jilly Ballistic, and many other young and emerging queer street artists. Homo Riot has curated video presentations as well as art installations throughout the Hollywood gallery to further enhance the experience.
